What is Happiness?
What is Happiness?
Happiness is very relative. For someone, who is struggling to get food for the night, happiness is getting food for the night and for next week as well.
For someone, who has been riding a scooter for his life, getting a new bike is a happiness.
For someone who looks rich enough, like one who has a government job, getting a new car is a happiness for them. But, that doesn't mean, they were unhappy until they hadn't their new car. It's just that we think of happiness as absolute while it is nothing like that. Anyone can be unhappy who isn't feel like he is making some change.
A person who has been dreaming of a car his whole life finally buys it.. doesn't mean he is going to be happy for the rest of his life.
As I said earlier.. happiness is relative. The condition he is in today, and the condition after he buys his car has some betterment. And in this respect.. he is going to be happy. Maybe 2-3 years from now.. being in the same situation and in the same car (for example).. he again would feel a bit trapped.
So, the point is.. WHAT IS HAPPINESS?
I would try to define as happiness is change (change, that is, one thinks better for him/her). And also.. it is relative.
And... One also must not forget, that the change one aspires for at some time, also keeps changing. What change you want today, for yourself, isn't going to be the change you'd want few years later from now (if you achieve that change).
Even the richest people can be sad.. if they don't feel they are changing (being better from what they were yesterday), and that's absolutely fine and should not be complained about.

I think Happiness can be found in being content, if we learn to be content with the things we have currently and not try to always run towards new things, we'll learn to be happy..(although that's what I would want to be like I'm yet to achieve that)
